How Chronicler Works

Chronicler helps you coordinate recurring sessions — no back-and-forth emails or spreadsheets needed.

As an Organizer you create and manage series, schedule sessions, and confirm dates.

Create a series

Go to My Series and click + New Series. Give it a name — this is your recurring gathering (a campaign, a book club, a game night, whatever you run).

Invite your participants

Open the series and go to the Participants tab. Enter each person's email address and send the invite. They'll receive an email with a link to join. Participants must sign in with the Google account that matches the address you used to invite them.

Schedule a session

Inside your series, click + New Session. Choose a date and time. For recurring meetings, set a start date and a repeat pattern (e.g. every other Monday) — each occurrence is treated independently, so you can reschedule one without affecting the others.

Watch the votes come in

Participants vote Yes or No on each session. If someone cannot make it, they can propose an alternative date — all other participants are notified by email and can vote on alternatives too. You see the full tally on the session page.

Confirm the date

When you're ready to lock in the session, click Confirm session. You can use the original scheduled date or pick any proposed alternative. Once confirmed, participants can still re-open voting by proposing a new alternative if plans change.

Configure reminders

In Series Settings you can set how many days in advance participants receive a reminder email before each finalized session. Participants can individually opt out of reminders if they prefer.

Common Questions

Why does sign-in fail with my Google account?

Your Google account email must exactly match the address the Organizer used to invite you. If they invited jane@example.com, you must sign in with that Google account — not an alias or a different address.

Can I be part of more than one series?

Yes. You can be a participant in as many series as you've been invited to, and an Organizer of as many series as you've created. They all appear on your My Series page.

What happens after the Organizer confirms a date?

The session shows a green Confirmed banner with the locked-in date. If plans change, any participant can propose a new alternative date, which re-opens voting.

When are reminder emails sent?

Reminders are sent automatically at the lead time the Organizer configured in Series Settings (for example, 2 days before the session). You only receive a reminder once the session date has been confirmed. You can opt out per series from any session page.

Can I reschedule one session in a recurring series?

Yes. Each occurrence of a recurring series is treated as an independent session. Participants propose alternative dates and the Organizer confirms just that one occurrence — the rest of the series is unaffected.
